I had great success with broccoli on my allotment in Nottinghamshire, but since moving to Bulgaria the summers are a bit too hot and long and the plants suffered quite badly.
Broccoli is not fussy when it comes to soil so if your soil is not that rich these are a good crop to grow.
1. Broccoli does not need rich soil and will grow just about anywhere.
2. Sow seeds in a seed bed and plant out (40cm apart) in mid summer I grew mine where my peas had been harvested.
3. Pick the florets, and they should just keep growing more right up until winter.
